[NOTD] Strawberry Sundae with Cherries on Top

Hello all! Summer’s officially come to an end today where I live, but that doesn’t mean I’m giving up my summery dessert themed nails :)! I first wanted to do a plain mani with Color Club Yachty, Yachty, Yadda, but this wonderful pink nail polish reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor—-Strawberry! I added a drip design of chocolate syrup (Revlon Hot for Chocolate) with Sprinkles (ULTA After Party). Of course, i didn’t forget the cherry! What’s an ice cream sundae without the cherry on top? haha

[NOTD/OOTD] I have an obsession for Mint & Floral…

I finally got my hands on Essie Mint Candy Apple! I’ve been obsessing over Mint-colored nail polish. I guess any collection isn’t complete without it! I also got Revlon Minted at ULTA & I was so excited to find it because I couldn’t find it at Rite Aid and Walgreens. I’m probably going to do a comparison post just for Mint-polishes that I own in the future.

Anyways, I wanted Mint Candy Apple and my new nail art brush set right away and did another floral design! Excuse the gross cuticles. I haven’t been taking great care of my cuticles & hands lately because of work xD

Sunday was my Uncle’s birthday party. My whole family was there. So much good food, great conversations, and the Celtics vs Lakers game. GO CELTICS!! hahah It’s fun watching sports events with my family since we’re all so into it! It was a suuuper hot day, so I wore a nice, light floral shirt, white high waist skirt, and my favorite sandals~

I also stayed over my sister’s house for the weekend and we decided to bake some cookies for my Uncle’s Party. Another thing I love doing, besides my nails, is Baking! I don’t cook often, but Baking is my forte. I love experimenting with pastries and desserts ^^ Maybe I should post some recipes on this blog? Anyone interested? :D

Chocolate Cookies with White Chocolate Chips & Walnuts
OMG these were heavenly!

These were supposed to be pinwheel cookies, but the dough wasn’t cooperating! Sooo…we improvised! We mixed the chocolate dough and regular dough together and used cookie cutters to make different shapes. My cousins had a good laugh at the doggie biscuit shaped cookie and questioned if it was really dog food. hahaha These cookies were delicious!

[NOTD] It’s been a while!

It’s been a while since my last post, but I have a good reason! I got a job! Woohoo! I’m working at ROSS for the summer until school starts again. What do I love about this job? It’s right across from ULTA xD ahaha. Let’s just say I can’t wait for school to come…

Unfortunately, I had to cut my nails since one of them broke during work & my nail polish doesn’t last very long :( My fingers look rough after my first day working in the stockroom sorting and cutting boxes. bleh.

Anyways, as I said, ULTA is right across from where I work, so I’ve been stopping by and buying more nail polish! I can’t resist! haha

There was a buy 2 get 2 free deal for ULTA products, so I bought four ULTA nail polishes for $10 total. This is one of them~ULTA Alter Ego Application was easy~2 coats, not streaky. I love the blue shimmer with metallic finish!

I also got Essence Check Me Out & ULTA After Party. I used ELF Desert Haze as a base for After Party. After Party consists of Red & Silver glitter. It looks great with nude/brown colors like Desert Haze.

I also got my first ever Piggy Polish color~Blue Me A Kiss! It’s a really nice light blue color. I paired it with ULTA Celebutante. I also got my nail stickers from dealsxtreme! The stickers are really cute! I love the rose set.

I finally received my 15 piece Nail Art Brush set from Ebay! It was such a steal. Got them for $2.79! I just have to find the time to use them! haha

[TUTORIAL] Black & Pearl White Sparkles

No fruit theme, dots, pastel, or pink today! I wanted to put my black ULTA nail polish to good use since it’s a little dull by itself.

Here’s how i did it:

What i used (L to R): ELF Pearl, Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope, Nicole by OPI Imagine If, LA Colors Base/Top Coat, Seche Vite Top Coat, & ULTA Little Black Dress, & Nail Art gemstones.

Apply clear base coat & let dry. Next, use two coats of ELF “Pearl nail polish.” Once this is dry, use the black nail polish for the tips. It’s ok if it’s a little messy, it will be covered up later on by glitters!

Next, apply Nicole “Imagine If”, or any holographic nail polish, onto the Pearl white area & overlap it onto the black tips.

Next, use “Kaleidoscope”, which has bigger glitter pieces than “Imagine If,” onto the black tips. Now, put coat your nails with a top coat.

Now it’s time to use some star pieces!

Tip for picking up deco gem pieces: Put some base or top coat on a piece of paper. Dip a toothpick onto the base or top coat (I used LA Colors Base/Top Coat for this since Seche Vite dries too quickly) . Now, pick up the pieces and press it lightly on the nails. Put it wherever you think looks good :) When you’re finished with that, apply the final top coat (Seche Vite), & then you’re done!
